14. Organize LEGO Loft with new hooks and shelves
As part of my Spring Cleaning project this month, I went ahead and got out some of the plain, wooden shelves I bought years ago during a LEGO convention yard sale. I've been wanting to paint them bright colors, and I finally got around to doing so! I discovered that the LEGO postcard sets fit perfectly on the medium-sized shelves. I had 6 postcard sets and only 6 shelves, so it was like it was meant to be! I ended up using the nails that came with the shelves, and I was nervous about putting more holes in my walls. I also needed my LEGO Loft to flow out from its room into the hallway above the closet. But I am incredibly happy with the result.
I painted one of the small shelves and haven't put it up yet. I also painted a large shelf I bought in April from Ikea. I am not happy with the paint job on it, and I haven't drilled holes for it or the other two shelves that are going up in my LEGO loft. But I feel like I'm part of the way there now that these shelves are up and looking so good!
