54. Watch every nominated movie from the Academy Awards (excluding foreign film) from 2007-2009

I just watched Notes on a Scandal. Wow. That was a great movie! Dark and clever, deviant and emotional... I have an awful habit of being pulled right into movies and siding with the main characters, no matter how unlikeable or immoral they are and this was no exception. I instantly understood (and rooted for) the characters in their horrible undertakings. Miserable, lustful, beautiful women... and Bill Nighy! I had no idea he was in this so that was a most pleasant surprise! Angry!Bill was fantastic to see! (Okay, so he's rather angry in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, but you can't exactly see his facial expressions well under tentacles. LOL) Cate Blanchett was amazing and gorgeous. Dame Judi Dench was absolutely fantastic- beyond amazing.

Definitely enjoyed it.
