37. Buy a display cabinet and put things in it

Since my parents owed me money, they bought me my display cabinet, and even went all the way to Ikea to get it for me when it came in. Then Mom (and Dad helped) spent a long time yesterday putting it together for me. It looks gorgeous- MUCH better than these crappy photos show. There's a wall right in front of it and I didn't want my reflection in the glass, so these pictures are pathetic.

But the point is, now I have a display cabinet! I used the bottom two shelves right now for my immense Eeyore collection which has been sitting in a box for the last year. Now I actually get to look at it! The shelf above is currently my fannish shelf. There's Hagrid and Legolas & Gimli, 3 Obi-Wans, 2 Qui-Gons, and a Darth Maul. The top two shelves is where I plan on putting my really nice things I haven't had a place to display because I worry about the cats knocking them down and breaking them. Yay for my new display cabinet :-)

List 1- Thing 76

76. Get a new graphics card for my PC and set up monitors

Last Tuesday I got the graphics card (finally). Shouldn't have been as big a deal as it was, but it took so many calls to Tech Support to determine exactly what card was needed and if it would work in my computer. And then I called MicroCenter something like 5 times before I finally talked to someone. And after that, I ended up ordering it online anyway.

But it's a spectacular card- two dual DVI-I ports and even has a fan built in. I put it in myself without breaking the computer and installed the drivers... and now I can use my new monster 30-inch monitor with both my PC and my Mac just by hitting a button. When I get used to it and figure out where I want the monitors, I'll get the arms put on my desk and I'll have an awesome battlestation. But I thought I'd mention that I finally got the graphics card in and working (after roughly a month and a half).
