60. Go inside a lighthouse
79. Do one thing on my list of things to do before I die

On my journey home from Infinitus in Orlando I decided to make a detour to see Florida's tallest lighthouse. Visiting a lighthouse was on my list of things to do before I die. On retrospect, I probably should have chosen one a little smaller on a day when I'd been up since 7am walking around Universal Studios, but it was a really amazing trip. The lighthouse was huge (203 steps to the top; I lost count on the way up but kept count on the way down and my number matched with the number on the literature). In addition to the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse there were museums and displays and buildings you could go in to learn everything from ancient nautical navigation to the history of lenses. I only had a few hours to explore, but I learned a lot and saw a bit of everything. I also learned it is surprisingly windy atop a lighthouse!

I also timed it really well, because I got to see the lighthouse in the light and in the dark, all lit up.

51. Snarf in 3 states I've never snarfed in before

On my way home I snarfed in every state I passed through: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. So I more than accomplished this goal!

Thing 62

62. Take the train to Hogwarts (Harry Potter Theme Park)

Accomplished! I took the train down to Orlando! There were certainly good & bad moments, but on the whole I enjoyed the experience.

Thing 88

88. Get my VCR working or switch out with another VCR or VCR/Blu-Ray combo

While I was gone, my mother re-did the connections on my TV, Cable DVR box, VCR, and Playstation 2. All four of them work properly now! I actually ended up troubleshooting the remotes and the Playstation this morning, but I can confirm that they all do work now. YAY! I can watch video tapes again and I can watch DVDs on my TV again and it doesn't require unhooking things each time. Whoohoo!
