68. Watch the Academy Award Best Picture nominees each year (2010, 2011, 2012)

This is one I'm going to really try to do before December 6.

District 9- I started watching this last night and I finished it about an hour ago over lunch. I found a lot of it disturbing--I had to look away at parts. It was shot to feel real and it definitely did. I liked the journalistic style. I liked the various transformations, even though the twists were all really predictable. In the end, style wasn't enough to impress me. It was good to see a human side of sci-fi movie nominated for best picture, but I didn't love this one. I felt like I had to make myself watch it and was glad when it was over and I could move on to something else.

The Descendants- Going into this, I was aware a lot of people said this was a movie where nothing happens; I don't usually love movies like that. Actually, I surprisingly liked it. Everyone felt like real people and the dialogue was great. The story was sweet and sad, heartwarming without really trying to be. And the setting worked so well despite itself. I really liked this movie.

Up in the Air- This movie kind of broke my heart. George Clooney back-to-back movies, but he really transforms well into each of these. I really felt for this guy and thought this was so well written. I could watch it again easily.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close- My favorite movie I've seen this year, easily. This was incredible. Laughing, crying--all the feels, actually. I loved it all.

I'm watching Black Swan right now.

80. Get weight down to 135lbs

I'm at -15. I've still got a LONG way to go, but I've started a diet for the first time in my life and it's going well. I'm NOT going to hit 135 before December--not even remotely a possibility, unless I cut myself in half LOL But I'm on a good track.

31. September 2012 Project

I put together a Halloween-themed MOC to be displayed at the LEGO store for the month of October. I always have a fun time making MOCs for Potomac Mills because the display case is 360 and above. I always try to make interesting things that can be seen from every direction. In this case, each house had different exposed rooms. As I have a lot of fandom sets, it was fun to have kids trick-or-treating in different character costumes. There was a neighborhood house decoration contest, two werewolves giving out chocolate (my nod to HP), and a whole lot more.

28. June 2012 Project

**Oops! I put May. I totally meant June!**
In June I made my first captured faerie jar. Took a long time to decorate the jar. My partner liked reading, so I made it a book fairy and decorated the jar with book pages, pens, bookmarks, and bookcovers. I went with a black, white, and red color scheme. There were scrabble tile letters spelling out BOOK FAIRY though all jumbled up. And there was a key for the jar so you could lock her up and not accidentally let her out. The second-to-hardest part was securing all the pieces so they not only looked good in the jar but so that the whole thing could be mailed and the display wouldn't fall apart or move. The hardest part was actually capturing the fairy. I wrapped the jar up in matching cloth and also sent a package of cut squares of book pages so that my partner could feed her.

101. Create a new 101 Things in 1001 Days list when this one is done

Last night I finished writing up the list of my next 101 things. This will be my third attempt at it and I learn a little more each time about what works best for me. Some items are repeats of ones I didn't complete this time around but still want to try. Some are brand new items I'm very excited about.

I've got some friends starting their lists on the same day as me this time as well. It's going to be fun!
