39. Get weight down to 135lbs

This morning, I weighed myself and I was 135.4, down from 180 in September 2012. So I'm counting this one as done. I'm not toned and I still look somewhat perpetually pregnant. But I feel a whole lot lighter. I can walk up and down stairs without getting winded. I can get up and down from sitting on the floor without feeling the strain. I feel smaller and look a little better as well. So that's all good.

The bad news is that the last 6 or 7 pounds is due less to my dieting and more to my being sick. So I'm glad I met my goal, but I'm a little worried about losing any more weight. I suppose one day I might be able to eat real foods again, so I'm not too concerned yet. But I'm going to continue keeping track.

4. Have a Ewan McGregor movie/tv show marathon

Over the weekend, I had a Ewan marathon. I didn't watch the three movies I most wanted to watch, however, because I ended up choosing movies I didn't really need to pay attention to, so that I could get Christmas presents and swap crafts done at the same time. Unfortunately, I also picked a weekend with a Capitals game and a Survivor finale, so that was 6 hours I couldn't watch Ewan. I still think I'm going to count it, and I'll just catch up with Shallow Grave, Stay, and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen some other time.

Here is what I ended up watching:

Robbie Williams and Ewan McGregor singing Angels at the Unicef Halloween Ball: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXtKCSYmWog - boy, Ewan's got a great singing voice! After watching this video, I decided to make it a Ewan marathon weekend :-)

Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker- I'd forgotten how many big name English actors I like were in this one. Ewan kicks the bucket early, unfortunately. Death count: 1

Angels & Demons- Ohhhh. Ewan in priest robes. Ewan in priest robes and in pain. Ewan in priest robes, in pain, and doing something terribly noble to save the Church and all of Rome. And, yeah, there was some plot and twists and bad writing in there as well. But it had Ewan in priest robes. Death count: 2

Big Fish- I've seen this movie at least a half dozen times, and I still cry at it. Every time I think I'll make it through, I completely lose it. But there are also so many magical moments that make me smile and laugh and charm me so much I smile through the whole thing, crying or not. Death count: um... 3? I don't know if it counts, since Ewan was a flashback version of the character who dies.

Blue Juice- Ah, the movie that made me absolutely sure that I'm not a 0 on the Kinsey scale. I love fuckup!Ewan. He does incompetent characters so well. And I'd totally forgotten the scene where he is bleeding and crying and has a complete meltdown. I just wanted to hug Dean! Also, no dying, even though he totally could have. Plus, lots of wet!Ewan in a wetsuit is never a bad thing.

Deception- I haven't watched this since I saw it in theaters. I loved it just as much. Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor in a creepy psychological thriller bromance. What's not to love? Kind of makes me wish I had a guy who'd give me a little wind-up duck. Or, you know, compromise himself in a blackmail scheme to save my life. That's a thing that happens a lot, right?

Emma- It's been a long while since I've seen this movie as well. I'd forgotten how much I actually liked it. I'd also forgotten Alan Cumming was in it, so that was a joy! And I'd forgotten that Ewan was actually in quite a lot of it. My memory of the movie was pretty much limited to Emma being clever and pretty and Ewan making an entrance on a horse then singing at a party.

Jack the Giant Slayer- Not the best of movies, but at least no Ewan death (no singing either, though). I hadn't seen it since the theater and enjoyed it this time around as well.

A Life Less Ordinary- Awww, another screwup role. I'm reminded of his character from ER a lot when watching this movie, only Robert has a much worse shirt. But a good singing voice in this one too (even if that scene makes me think of My Best Friend's Wedding).

I would have finished with Moulin Rouge, but I didn't make it. Just as well. I would have cried my eyes out and woken up 5 hours later with them all puffy.

Even though I didn't get to the three I really wanted to watch, I don't think this is a bad showing. I went somewhat alphabetically, skipping ones I'd recently seen (like Down with Love) or ones I couldn't handle while doing other things (like Black Hawk Down) or ones that are not my favorite (Eye of the Beholder). I got a little bit of comedy, some nerdiness, some sexiness, some adventure, some singing, some drama, and some mess. Not one with him naked though. Isn't that odd?
