5. Read 25 books off the FCPS shelves at the library

Three more books finished. MAN I'm making good progress on this goal this month!

I read Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. I really enjoyed this take on immortality and I absolutely fell in love hard with the characters. I saw the movie years back, but don't remember it. So it was a fun, fresh feel.

Then I read The Watsons Go to Birmingham--1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis. I enjoyed this slice of life and culture from back then. This was a series of stories--some humorous, some heartbreaking. The wonderful LeVar Burton narrated the audio splendidly.

And then I read The Magician's Elephant by Kate DiCamillo. It was enchanting and quirky, and the prose was just plain beautiful. I earread it, and really enjoyed that. But I now want to track down the print book so I can see the illustrations too.
