43. NaNoWriMo 2021
This was my sixteenth time doing NaNoWriMo, and it was the first time I seriously thought I wouldn't make the word count. I ended up including everything I wrote that month, from journal entries to equipment descriptions for work as well as all of the fanfiction stories I was supposed to have finished for the holiday season back in January. With just a few days to go, I still had about 32,000 words to write. So I kicked it into overdrive and managed to just squeeze a win out of the month with an hour or so left to go. Whew! I did manage to finish every story I needed to write, so it was a success on all fronts. But I hope to never struggle like that again.
