30. Visit 7 indie bookstores

Store 4 (Hooray for Books!) is a few steps from the building where I work now, and it was our official bookstore of the BookCrossing Convention in DC. I haven't gone inside in more than a decade, and I was happy to see an amazing selection inside. I bought two books I can't wait to read. Store 5 (Old Town Books) was quite a walk from my workplace, but not impossibly far. I had such a difficult time deciding what to buy, because their selection was outstanding. I'm definitely going to have to go back soon.
Progress: 5/7

44. Try sweet treats at 7 indie shops
The day before my birthday, I went to Ikea. It's a bit of a drive, and there is an indie ice cream place not too far from there. However, I didn't realize it wasn't open until much later in the afternoon, so it was closed when I got there. Luckily, I found a frozen custard place about 15 minutes from there. I got a scoop of Huckleberry and loved it!

I stopped by La Gelatteria on my way home from the Kensington Day of the Book festival. I couldn't decide what to choose, so I got two. I tried a scoop of honey mascarpone fig (delicious) and a scoop of white chocolate raspberry (incredibly delicious)!
Okay... these two I'm not sure count. I found out AFTER eating at them that these are actually part of chains. Does it count if I ate deliciousness without realizing? Hmmmm. Probably not? For the record, I got Swedish Fish Italian Ice and Strawberry Shortcake gelato.
Progress: probably 3/7?

37. Watch 7 shows I’ve been meaning to see or need to catch up on
There are SO MANY SHOWS I want to see. I really should have made this 70 or even 700. But I decided to take the first 7. (Even though I probably should be counting The Floor, I kind of binged that suddenly and unexpectedly before keeping proper track).
Shows I caught up on:

1. Rings of Power. My life got busy and for some reason I hadn't watched the final several episodes of this. Now I have seen them! I may be in the minority, but I love this series.
New-to-me shows I've now binged:

2. Jury Duty. Loved it. I remember seeing ads for this (James caught my eye, I won't lie), but I finally sat down to watch this and then couldn't stop. I even watched all the commentary.

3. Ripley. The story has fascinated me since I saw the movie, and Andrew Scott is amazing in every role I've ever seen him in. This was also one I couldn't look away from. Even though this Ripley is absolutely terrible at covering up his murders, he somehow manages not to get caught. Amazing. I'm now reading the book and hope to read the whole series of books.

4. The 1619 Project. I recently reread the book for a book club, and I had heard good things about the docuseries. So I gave it a watch. Loved seeing this wisdom told through the format of a show. Outstanding.

5. Game Changer. This is one of the shows I've now watched with my DropoutTV subscription. I have been wanting to see it for years now, and it the only disappointment is that I have now watched it all and have to wait for them to put out new episodes! This show is such a delight in every way!
Shows 6 and 7 on my list are still in progress. I'm in season 3 of The Boys and season 1 of Only Murders in the Building. Both are shows I've been wanting to watch for a long time now, and it's great to finally get around to seeing both of them.
