just_the_things12. Get to 10,000 books released on BookCrossing
I released 404 books this month, mostly for the Gaithersburg Book Festival. Some were ones I'd previously released at the Kensington Day of the Book Festival that were leftovers needing another shot at a good home, so that's why the number isn't last time's number + 404. Still, it's a lot of books!
If I keep up this pace of releasing about 700 in April and May each year, I'll just make by goal in 2015. But it would be much easier to meet if I released more throughout the year and didn't rely just on the festivals. I've got two boxes of animal books ready to be registered for September, so that's a good start.
