just_the_things1. Watch every Academy Award best picture nominee from 2010 to 2015
Her- I was amazed at how much emotion could be conveyed just in visuals and music in a movie where one of the characters isn't even present visually. Not that I needed another character. The idea of a human falling in love with an OS is not new, but this presentation was so human and beautiful and understandable. I found the emotions raw and realistic. I could see society evolving to this state because there was a lot I could recognize in this world. I think my favorite part were the imaginings of futuristic elements (like the novelty of handwritten letters or everyone checking their emails through voice interfaces on public transportation during their commutes). The love story was sad and beautiful at the same time. I enjoyed where this movie took my mind and emotions. It gave me lots to think about. I am definitely glad to have watched it. It's one of my favorites from this Academy Award season.
