1. Watch every Academy Award best picture nominee from 2010 to 2015I went to the special discounted Wednesday night movie theater tonight because I had a Wednesday free and I've been DYING to see this movie. I love Benedict Cumberbatch. But I LOVE Alan Turing. I'm the person who stood in the International Spy Museum crying her way through half a pack of tissues at the Alan Turing section. He never could have imagined to have found himself honored in a museum. But I'm sure he absolutely never imagined parts of his life would be depicted so beautifully in an Academy Award nominated movie.
Even though I knew his story quite well, I loved seeing it play out in this movie. Alan is one of my biggest heroes, and I thought they did an amazing job with his story here--the good and the bad. I had a pretty bad day today, and I almost thought about not going to the movies. But I'm so glad I did. I needed this. I felt inspired--both artistically and as someone who works in computers. I loved this. Just plain loved it.
