just_the_things25. Read a book and then watch the movie based on it for 5 different books
I just finished watching the movie, which was just as emotional for me as the book but for different reasons. I definitely came out of it in tears but feeling hopeful. It was wonderfully faithful to the book (a few scenes taken out, but at more than two and a half hours, they worked a lot of great moments and lines in there), just as creepy as you would want a ghost story to be, and just as full of love and horror and forgiveness and beauty and suffering (and a whole lot more) as I'd hoped.
