8. Release a book at the LFL at the National Museum of the American Indian

I expected to see the Little Free Library outside, but I headed in to see if it might be there. Luckily, I spotted the beautiful Little Free Library within moments of entering the museum. I released a Smithsonian art book that had a few American Indian pieces in it at. There were only two books in it when I was there, so mine was the third.

30. Rewatch an older show I own on DVD but have never rewatched

I rewatched the 2000-2002 series Invisible Man. I've owned the first season on DVD for at least a decade now and had never even opened the package, so it was about time! Some moments were pretty terrible and cringe-worthy, but I did very much enjoy seeing a few episodes I missed the first time around. And seeing the characters again was such a pleasure.

57. Spring Cleaning 2022

Well, I didn't make it all the way through my spring cleaning to do list, but I did quite a bit in the month of May, including assembling a shoe rack, scrubbing one of my bathrooms from top to bottom, buying a robot vacuum, purging both my fridge and pantry, and buying a tool to de-cat-hair my couch and curtains.

25. Finish Leverage

I finished Leverage: Redemption. I wasn't expecting some of the cast changes, but I think they did an excellent job of handling those changes while still making compelling storylines. Loved seeing Noah Wyle in a doctor's coat again. Loved seeing LeVar Burton as a librarian. Loved seeing this team together again.

5. Watch 6 Netflix DVDs

I watched two more movies via Netflix DVD this month, bringing my total to 6 and finishing this thing.

5. Green Street Hooligans

6. Donald Stratchey: Shock to the System

I liked them both, though for very different reasons! Glad to have finally watched them, and I'm hoping to polish off the rest of the Donald Stratchey movies I haven't yet seen in May.

19. Marvel marathon

During the first weekend of April, I had a mini Marvel marathon. I did want to watch ALL of the Marvel movies in order, but I knew that would take me longer than a weekend (as I did that leading up to Endgame's release). So, instead, I had a catch-up weekend and used the marathon as an excuse to get caught up on all the Marvel I could. Due to COVID, I haven't been seeing movies in theaters, so I was definitely behind. I also included some Marvel-themed workouts that weekend, for fun, and started a book I've been meaning to read for a while now.

Marathon:
Hawkeye (Show: 6 episodes)
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Movie)
Marvel: What If? (Show: 9 episodes)
The Eternals (Movie)
Moon Knight (Show: 1 episode)
Miles Morales: Spider-Man by Jason Reynolds (Book)
Marvel Indoor Walking (Workout)
Avengers (Workout)
Shang-Chi (Workout)
Avengers: Kids Tabata (Workout)
Guardians of the Galaxy Dance (Workout)

I co-lead my first small group session in March. We'll be meeting once a month until November. And though the first session was a little rocky, I had a great time listening to and learning from everyone.

38. Make banana pudding

I've been wanting to make banana pudding for several years now. I finally attempted it!
Pros: It is absolutely delicious, and it looks beautiful
Cons: It's so full of sugar it's probably not that good for me, and I have to eat all 20 servings myself
Pros: I get to eat all 20 servings myself

I did manage to figure out a way to eat it over the course of several days without the cut bananas going bad. I ate all the bananas I cut in days 1 and 2, and then every time I ate more, I added freshly cut bananas to the pudding. That should allow it to keep better for as long as it will take me to get through it all. No regrets, though. It is incredibly delicious!

I had two of my mentees graduate this month, one on the 14th and one on the 20th! I'm so proud of both of them and hope they get amazing jobs in the field. I was impressed by their work throughout the course, especially as the year has been rocky for them.

6. Looking for Alaska

As soon as I got Hulu, I knew I wanted to watch the Looking for Alaksa adaptation. It's my favorite John Green book, and I was excited to see how it was realized on the small screen. I figured that since I knew how it would end, I'd be fine with it. Around episode 7, however, I discovered how wrong I was. I ugly cried my way through the second half of the series. The characters weren't what I'd imagined in my head, but it wasn't hard to fall in love with these versions of them. I'm glad I finally made myself watch it, because I had this show in mind when I created this goal for this list.
