52. Make a better list/system of books I mail out (spreadsheet) and keep up with it

My old system for keeping track of the books I mail out was so bad that I stopped using it.

So yesterday I created a spreadsheet with two sections, one for books I mail out and ones for books I receive from people. Now I can keep track of: title, BCID#, who I mailed it to, date mailed out, delivery confirmation number, reason for mailing (challenge, RABCK, bookring, etc.), and if it's been received/journaled or not. I can also keep track of what I've done with the books I've received (which might pressure me into reading more on my To Be Read bookshelf).

Now that it's created, I just need to be sure to keep it updated. I mailed a bunch of books out today and had fun entering in the information. I hope its usefulness overrides the tediousness of typing it all up each time. Time will tell.

46. Send out 25 Ray it Forwards at BookCrossing (books I've actually read first)

I just added that last bit, making it a requirement to read the books first. That makes it much more challenging for me, but also more meaningful. Then I'll be able to write reviews and see what others think about the books I've enjoyed.

I sent my first two out today:

#1: Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz sent to New Hampshire, USA

#2: Bless the Beasts & Children by Glendon Swarthout sent to Sri Lanka
