31. Do Camp NaNoWriMo
This was my first time trying Camp NaNoWriMo. I enjoyed it, but it definitely had its ups and downs. I liked that I could set my own goals. I disliked that other people set SUPER EASY goals (500 words? Really?) and then showboated when they reached those goals and rubbed it in the faces of those of us still plugging away. I liked having an excuse to focus on my writing more. I disliked RL getting in the way, as it so often does. I liked the idea of being in a cabin with others in order to cheer each other on. I disliked that my cabinmates are doing a really bad job of keeping up with the word count, dragging us all down with them. Grrr. At its current progress, my cabin should be reaching its 195,500 word count goal around June. Yeah. NOT COOL, GUYS! I DID MY PART!!! I think if I do it next time, I'll pick a cabin, rather than have the system randomly assign it. At least then I can't blame anyone but me for the choice.

Here were my goals for this month's project:
* Run another fanfiction commentfic meme- DONE!
* Update master list from last year's meme- DONE!
* Write stories to fill prompts in this year's meme of at least 25,000 words- DONE!
I'm definitely glad I gave this a shot. I've been wanting to try Camp NaNoWriMo for years now!
