27. Make a list of 10 books on my BookCrossing TBR shelves and read those books

6. What Makes Me a Muslim? by Catherine M. Petrini
This is the shortest book on my list and it's been on Mt. TBR since 2009. Embarrassing! Yesterday I sat down and read it finally! I'm glad I did. I thought it was an accessible and informative look at the world's largest religion.

85. Donate something for the BrickFair charity auction/raffle

I bought this pillow months ago with this thing in mind. I was tempted to keep it for myself, but I donated it to the auction. It didn't raise too much in the end (everyone seems to be after bricks!) in the raffle, but even a little money will help the charity.

97. Jump in a moon bounce/bouncy house or into a ball pit

I have never jumped in a moon bounce/bouncy house before, so I finally took the opportunity at BrickFair this year and jumped! It was lots of fun and didn't hurt my knees at all=whew! Probably would have been even more fun without trying to avoid all the kids playing games there. But I definitely had a good time and got to count it for GISHWHES as crossing an item off my bucket list.

Thank you to my friend, Alan, for taking photos!

72. Participate in GISHWHES

The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World has Ever Seen seems like such a fun thing to participate in, even without Misha Collins (one of the stars of Supernatural) involved. It is crazy and exhausting and creative and heartwarming and fun! But I was hesitant to participate because it always comes at the busiest time of year for me. In this case, it took place during two back-to-back conventions I was attending! But by staying up until 4am some nights, I managed to get a few items done for my team.

My team's leader is an awesome BookCrossing friend of mine I met online and in person the first time at the BCinDC International Conference in 2011. Other members included her friends, other BookCrossers (including a friend I met because she's a close friend's niece), and a local friend and fellow fan. We spanned many different countries and time zones, so we had some issues trying to figure out what "Day 4" actually meant.

I submitted 7 items on the list including these ones:

Something Silly!
Item #12
I have to travel a lot for work, so I’ve learned a thing or two about working the system. It turns out, if you package yourself properly you can send yourself by mail for a fraction of the cost of an airline ticket. Transform your appearance into a first-class parcel and have a friend deliver you to the post office for shipping. Don’t actually ship yourself— just get a photo of your packaged self being weighed at the post office, in a bin at a post office with other packages, or being loaded into a mail truck.

Mike, one of the postal workers at my post office, probably thinks I'm crazy, but he was a great sport and took this photo of us! I especially enjoyed checking the "humanitarian donation" box on the customs form. Where was she mailing me to? To Misha in Alternate World Vancouver, of course!

Something Kind!
Item #20
Handcraft at least 3 birthday cards and send them to this young man: “Boy from Big Bear with severe autism wishes for birthday cards” http://abc7.com/society/boy-from-big-bear-with-severe-autism-wishes-for-birthday-cards/1424726/ – Elizabeth Madsen

I had people at work sign a card I made with a pop-up birthday cake in it. According to the video, Ryan loves LEGO, so I had tons of people sign four different LEGO-themed cards at BrickFair. I bought him a tote bag and a number of people donated things including minifigures, polybag sets, LEGO stickers, and bricks for me to give him! Such kindness :-)

Something Creative!
Item #34.
We’ve seen Jensen Ackles portraits in Skittles. What about Jensen Ackles on Skittles? Draw a tiny Ackles on a single Skittle. Post a photo of the Skittle portrait in the palm of your hand.

I actually drew two, intending to draw a whole Skittles rainbow of different Jensens. Then one of my teammates pointed out it was supposed to be a "single Skittle." So I just went with one of them. I ate a whole lot of Skittles during the process.
