just_the_things54. Watch every nominated movie from the Academy Awards (excluding foreign film) from 2007-2009
Just watched Happy Feet. It was better than I'd expected, though I hadn't been really keen on watching it. It was very cute, and the annimation was fabulous. I didn't know anything about the plot, so I was relieved to actually find one. I got a kick out of the different races/species. And it was HIGHLY predictable. I watched it with my sister and her friend, though, who didn't seem to be able to predict it the way I did. It was like I'd figure something out and then there would be a delayed reaction of understanding *shrug* I think my sister actually said "What just happened?" at the end. *sigh* But I liked it, even though it was really predictable. Lots of cute little moments and some interesting cultural references, but otherwise a little too tame for my tastes. Interesting way to tell a typical story, though, with interesting musical choices. My favorite part of the whole movie was definitely the Queen song. The end was nice, too :-) Not fantastic by any means, but nice.
