Yesterday I finished Hornblower During the Crisis (book 4, which is actually a series of short stories- Hornblower During the Crisis, Hornblower's Temptation, and The Last Encounter.
Yesterday I finished Hornblower During the Crisis (book 4, which is actually a series of short stories- Hornblower During the Crisis, Hornblower's Temptation, and The Last Encounter.
 | Short, but certainly well worth reading! As a writer, I'd probably be pissed if people published my short, unfinished works... but in this case, I'm so glad they did because there are some beautiful images and moments with Horatio here. The first part of the first story was a little confusing during the planning/battle scene but it was SO nice to see Bush again... and for Horatio to see Bush again, too. I liked where that story ended up. I loved the chest story, and the bit with admiral Hornblower and Napoleon made me curious as well as making me laugh! |
