1. Watch every Academy Award best picture nominee from 2010 to 2015
On Christmas, actually, my family and I watched Inglorious Basterds. I wasn't really a fan. I'm all for killing Nazis. And I thought the mix of storylines was interesting. I didn't mind the violence, either. But I'm not sure I've ever liked a Quentin Tarantino movie. I have respect for them; they are just not my style. As Django Unchained is up for best picture, it seems I've got another of his to get through soon.
So here is where I stand on the list of ones I haven't yet watched:
Moneyball
The Tree of Life
The Kids are All Right
127 Hours (originally I thought I'd skip this for my own sanity, but then I saw a long trailer and I kind of want to be brave and give it a try now)
True Grit
The Hurt Locker
A Serious Man
Amour
Life of Pi
Lincoln
Argo
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Silver Linings Playbook
Django Unchained
Zero Dark Thirty
Les Miserables
Usually the only movies I ever see in theaters are fandom ones, so it's not surprising that I've seen ZERO nominated this year. I look forward to seeing who wins tonight, though, so I thought today was an appropriate time to make this list/post.
Ones I HAVE seen (this was Thing 68 on List #2):
The Artist
Avatar
Black Swan
The Blind Side
The Descendants
District 9
An Education
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
The Fighter
The Help
Hugo
Inception
Inglorious Basterds
The King's Speech
Midnight in Paris
Precious
The Social Network
Toy Story 3
Up
Up in the Air
War Horse
Winter's Bone
