1. Watch every Academy Award best picture nominee from 2010 to 2015
Silver Linings Playbook- I enjoyed this one. It felt real but it also felt like a movie. I mean, it was just fictional enough to be believable when strange coincidences or fate turned a certain way for a character. An exceptionally good cast as a whole meant a lot of different ways to view and approach a tough subject. And there was good and bad. Sort of a "it is what it is, and this is what we can take from it" sort of thing. You just can't help but root for the main characters :-) And I know I saw pieces of myself in this movie; I can see why it's important to have movies like this, to facilitate discussions and make topics like mental illness approachable.
Here are the movies I have left to watch (at least, until next Oscar season):
The Hurt Locker
Amour
Life of Pi
Lincoln
Argo
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Zero Dark Thirty
