Last night, my wonderful coworker, Leanne, played Dungeon Master for us and took a bunch of us on our first quest. It was exciting and fun, except I still have all this "you had ONE JOB!" guilt about not being able to heal The Gray Fox better when called upon to do so. Shake it off, Kathra, shake it off. It was a lot of fun, especially the bit where my fellow non-stealthy dwarf made SO much noise sneaking up on our goblin enemies that her blade hit and felled a large tree. I asked whether that tree perhaps fell on the goblins and, lookie there, it had! Haha! Best non-fight scene ever! Way to turn a mistake into a fortunate accident. Dwarf power! My second favorite moment was my very first ever roll of a d20 that yeilded... a 20! SWEET! (Sings "Natural Twenty" by the Blibbering Humdingers).
Definitely a fun night. Can't wait to go on my next campaign (I might have spent an hour today battling with PDFs in order to finish up my own character, Jayd'n, who I'll be playing next time.

d20 photo by Jason Gray, because I'd forgotten my camera. Other photos taken by my boss, David Fenza, who seemed amused at our use of the work conference room.
