71. Attend Con.Txt

I got back from CON.TXT on Sunday and am still processing. It was an amazing experience; it's always a pleasure finding my people and getting to spend days squeeing with them. Let me explian--no, there is too much. Let me sum up....... HIGHLIGHTS!

• Getting every word correct in the first half of Guns & Ships and having people clap for me during the Hamilton sing-along DIY panel. That whole hour was pure, freeing BLISS!


• Losing my panel modding virginity over Harry Potterl


• Overhearing discussion of Highlander and finding out someone attended the same Highlander Con I did more than a decade ago!


• Totally losing it during the Star Trek vid... both times it was shown because Leonard.


• Buying awesome merch... Slash board game, Boyfriend Jacket for build-a-bear, Stargate SG-1 Christmas ornament, Fantastic Four comic, Wizard Chess, Mal & Rey in POP form, and much more


• Getting inspired to write fic during panels. So much inspiration!


• Also OMG so many recs I need to read now!


• Looking across the room and seeing a friend from my HP group... on day 3 and feeling silly for not having seen her before then


• Horatio Hornblower's brief appearance in a vid!


• Someone banging on the glass window of a restaurant as my friend and I were passing so she could tell us she liked our fannish t-shirts


• Panels on OT3s, asexual characters in fandom, your kink is not my kink, Supernatural goodness, Stormpilot, found families, and more!


• So much shared squeeing in Check, Please panel! Awwww! So jealous of the attendee wearing the Samwell Hockey t-shirt. WANT


• Getting to chat with people who like the same thing I do without needing a filter or code.
